Title: Accounts Payable Clerk (entry level)
Department: BUSINESS SERVICES
Reports to: Business Services Director
Purpose of Position: The primary purpose of this entry-level position is to perform general accounting tasks with a focus on Accounts Payable in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as directed by the Executive Director or Business Service Director. Also may assist with ensuring the accurate and timely processing and payment of payroll checks and the coordination, operation and integration of computers and computer systems.
Maintain account payables system; verify invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents; resolve discrepancies; request checks to pay invoices.
Prepare and mail out checks.
Assist with performing bank reconciliations for checking, savings and payroll accounts.
Assist with other accounting functions such as taxes, monthly and yearly financial reports.
Assist with processing the bi-weekly payroll for all personnel for the assigned locations and departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with printing transaction reports and verifying all information is correct.
Assist with printing checks and all associated payroll reports.
Other related duties as assigned.
